These products are manufactured from various alloys as follows:
A. Low-alloy white cast iron pellets: These low-alloy white cast iron products contain 1.5 – 0.5% chromium content after heat treatment with microscopic structure of iron carbide phase (cementitious) and martensite as shown below and hardness of Rockwell 58-62. The major uses of these pellets in the mining industries of the National Iranian Copper Industries subsidiaries include Sarcheshmeh Copper, Sangoun Copper, Midok Copper, as well as the Chadermelo, Gol Gohar and Sangan iron ore mines.
B – Perchrome white cast iron pellets: Due to the high percentage of chromium content, these types of pellets have a different structure than low-alloyed white cast iron pellets, and primary chromium carbides and secondary chromium carbides formed after heat treatment in the field of martensite are much harder than iron carbides. It has good abrasion resistance and good toughness (Fig. 1b). The main uses of these pellets are in the cement industry and since they use two or three-chamber mills in the first chamber where the inlet material has a thicker grain size than 60-90 mm pellets. Hardness of 58-62 Rockwell C and in later chambers of throats of size 15-60 with Hardness of 58-64 Rockwell are used. The wear rate of these pellets is very low in the cement industry, which is used in addition to the gray cement production in the white cement Asian. Used in pelletizing mills of large steel complexes such as Mobarakeh Steel and Khuzestan Steel.
C – 70cr2 Steel Forged Bullets: The pellets were cooled to 20-25-30 and 40 mm by roll forging immediately after forming in the quenching medium to achieve the necessary microscopic structure of the martensite phase with a hardness of 58-62 Rockwell Si. Used in mills of different industries.
